[Part 1] About 25 Nov 20

30Nov20

It is raining outside. It is the most perfect weather to be in the blanket with a good book and hot cocoa. Wow. Sounds so dreamy but I don't have cocoa here, and not much interesting books I brought, so maybe I just do my 宿題 (read: Shukudai, which means homework).

Speaking about books, I went to Kinokuniya last week, 25th Nov (a day before my 30th birthday). Well, it wasn't really planned anyway. Because initially, I just have to go renew my driving licence. Then I thought of taking the train to Ampang Park due to some important matter. After I was done there, (which wasn't really done because the place have been closed for 3 weeks and will resume after PKP sighhh) I thought to myself "hey how about walking to KLCC?" And yeahhh, what a good walk from Ampang Park LRT to Suria KLCC. I was kind of cautious with all the Covid19 situation around KL but seems like the town, the road actually looked more normal and kind of lively. Ada je orang menjual kuih, soya, nasi lauk here and there. But of course I think most of the people I saw were office staffs that inevitably have to be around there, maybe.

So when I reached Suria I remembered that I have to go to Maxis centre but since I have forgotten which way I have to go, I just go deeper into the mall and remembered I want to browse Kino. Rindu gila weh for how long I haven't been there. You know when you go to Kino you can't rush right? You need to have all the time in the world to be there because it will be kind of devastating if you're not able to take in all the booky greatness, with some classical melody in the background. Perfect for getaway weh. Lol am I exaggerating?

The first thing I did was to find Penguin Popular Classic shelves. Well, I loved that part because PPC books used to be sold at a very good price of RM8.50. But sadly, there were no longer PPC books with their signature light brown+peach color cover. They have been replaced by Collins Classic ke apa ntah nama dia. Which have a more serious looking book cover and being sold at RM13+. Okey, a rise of RM5, not too bad but still wished for PPC.

I bought Rudyard Kipling's The Jungle Book on impulse. Totally not planned. Just coz a few days before, I was chatting with my sister and suddenly the topic shifted to the old Jungle Book movie where we both agreed that at some point, we got so sleepy waiting for it to end it almost felt like the movie's length was 4 hours! But hey, it actually, have some good funny part like when Baloo being hit with melons by some monkeys after singing Bare Necessities. That's like the funniest part I guess, when the monkeys scream "here's some bear necessities" xD

Ok that's about it with The Jungle Book. Next, I went to browse my another favorite part which is, Language Studies. There were actually 2 sections. The first one is the conventional part with many language study books placed in several shelves. The second part is specially for Nihongo studies, this part is like at the end of Kino. It is very secluded. If I remember correctly, you have to follow the wall with windows facing outside of the mall, you will find it at the far end. Here I found a Minna No Nihongo kind of like novel about マイクミラー (Mike Miller), a foreigner who came to work in Japan, well I haven't read it just know some idea from the textbook Minna no Nihongo we used in class.

Hey I'm gonna continue this entry next time coz the rain has stopped. I'm gonna go out to do stuffs and find food~ Later!
